Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion has become a controversial phrase over the past few years. With some believing that the practice of D.E.I is unfair and ought to be eradicated.

However, some believe that D.E.I is a blessing that has allowed those originally kept out of education to seek higher opportunity,

Now, President Donald Trump and his Administration have set out to remove D.E.I in its entirety, starting with Universities across the country. This led millions to the street in protest.

In "UNLISTED: The Removal of D.E.I in University," Director JJ McKinney travels to protests around Colorado State University and Fort Collins to uncover the emotions students have about D.E.I. and see just how much this program means to the people it affects the most.

The Cultural Resource Centers
Efforts to remove "Discriminatory" practices in higher academia have led to federal funding cuts for multiple universities across the country. At CSU, this has lead to fears that the Cultural Resource Centers, spaces that provide safety to marginalized communities in Fort Collins are in Jeopardy. The students belonging to those cultural centers came to their defense.
The Undocumented Community
The Undocumented Community has become a target of the Trump Administration, as people across the country are detained from their homes, schools, and places of worship and deported. With the growing increase of fear attacking undocumented students, the CSU community rises up to demand for a sanctuary school.
Science Rally in Fort Collins
The Trump Administration has threatened that any school that fails to remove their D.E.I programming will lose their federal funding. This means that countless research projects in multiple scientific fields will lose research. Determined not to let their life's work be taken away from them, educators across Fort Collins came out to protest in defense of science.
